My nephew Max turned five today. My sister threw him a
great party at her new house in Toledo (it was my first time
seeing it). Max was spoiled rotten and it was a great day!

Drove to Findlay tonight to spend the evening with two of my favorite people -
former college roommies Emily and Lisa. It was so nice to see both of them!

Pat and I went out to eat on a work night - which we never
do - and decided to try this new restaurant. The food was
delicious and the space was quote intimate (only has enough
seating for about 15 people). We were sitting a few tables
away from Cleveland Browns owner Randy Lerner.

The magazine I edit at work hit the mailboxes today and
we got our pretzel dogs that I ordered from a student.

One year ago today the world lost a very special person.
I can't believe it's been a year since my step-dad Mark died.
I still miss him every single day.

I organized a soup swap at work today in honor of National Soup Swap Day.

We went to Lia's gymnastics meet today. It was the
first time we've seen her compete and she was great.
We did, however, get there late and missed her best
event, the beam. She ended up placing third in that
event and sixth in the floor routine (which she is
finishing here).

Pat's Uncle Tim retired from the police force and tonight
was his big party. It was a lot of fun and much deserved.

I got to go to the taping of this show downtown today with
my boss. Of course I forgot to take a picture while I was there
so this will have to do. It was so cool and I'm glad I got to go.

The traffic may not look as bad as my dirty windshield but
I can assure you they are both horrible. It took me over two
hours to get home tonight. And instead of backing out of my
workout plans, I decided after all the frustration of this traffic,
I needed to work out very badly. By the way - there was VERY
little snow on the ground. No excuse for this traffic. None.

Remember all of that snow we got over the weekend? It is all
gone and all that is left is lots of puddles in the backyard. It was
a high of 58 today on January 17! Lots of rain and high winds but
in the middle of the day, the sun did show its face for a few hours.
We are supposed to get snow tonight. This weather is weird!

I made my niece Harper this tutu today on my day off. I took it over to give it to her
and my SIL Traci and I held a little photo shoot of her. It was really fun and
we got a lot of great pictures! Pretty easy when your subject is this cute!

from my friend Julie. I know a lot of coffee drinkers have
their "favorite mug" and now I have one, too.

We went over and spent the evening with our niece, Harper,
her parents and Mike and Aimee. It was a nice, relaxing night.

We got a lot of snow over the last two days and Grady is so excited about it.
I went outside tonight and took pictures of him playing in the snow with my nice
camera that was my step-dad's. This was my favorite picture I took
(and then edited in Instagram).

Grady has had his cardinal for about three weeks now and I
am shocked he hasn't destroyed it yet! Other than missing a foot,
it is still in great condition and he loves it.

We got our photobook in the mail today from our trip to
Mexico. It turned out great. What's even better - we got the
book for free and only had to pay for shipping & handling. Bonus!

I spent my entire day at work, proofing, reproofing and proofing again, the magazine
I edit at work. Although it's late, I think it's going to be the best of the 4 magazines I've done.

We went to visit our niece, Harper Dailee Tigue today! She is only five days
old and is too sweet to handle! We love her so much already!

This picture very accurately describes how I felt for the entire
first day of the new year. That bottle of champagne next to me
(and the many, many other bottles consumed by me, my aunts and
cousins) is the reason I am laying on the floor and the reason I felt like
I was going to get sick for the entire next day.
